Ginelo grows up surrounded by cars in his parents' automotive business in Vinkeveen. He quickly becomes familiar with all car brands and enjoys tinkering with them. His interest in motors and technology develops early on.
Inspired by his father's stories about karting in the past and his uncle who was once a world champion, Ginelo decides to try karting himself. His first meters are made on the kart track in Lelystad, and from then on, he can't stop talking about racing.
In February 2015, Ginelo obtains his kart license in Stryen, confirming that the talent for racing runs in his genes.
